Creating a website involves a few essential components working together. As part of my service, I design and build your website — but there are also two foundational elements that every website requires:

1. Domain Name (your web address)

This is the address people use to find your site (e.g. yourbusiness.co.uk). Domains are registered separately and typically renewed annually.

2. Web Hosting (where your site lives)

Hosting is the service that stores your website and makes it accessible online. Like domain names, hosting is an ongoing service provided by a third party.

What I Provide

I handle the design, development, and setup of your website, ensuring everything works seamlessly together. I’m also happy to:

• Advise you on the best domain and hosting options
• Assist with setup and configuration
• Manage the technical side on your behalf if preferred

What’s Not Included

Domain registration and hosting are not included in the project cost, as they are ongoing services registered in your name. This gives you full ownership and control over your website.

All accounts and services are set up in your name, giving you full ownership and control of your application and its data.

I do not retain ongoing access to your systems. Instead, I guide you through deployment so that everything is installed and managed directly from your own environment.

Deployment Approach

To prioritise security and transparency, I assist you in deploying your application from your own computer to your hosting or server environment. This ensures:

• Your credentials remain private
• You maintain full administrative control
• There is no dependency on external access

Hosting, Access & Local Work Policy

Your website and its infrastructure should always remain fully under your control. For that reason, I take a slightly different approach to deployment and access:

• Your hosting account is set up in your name
• You retain full access and ownership at all times
• I do not require ongoing remote access to your systems or accounts

When it comes time to launch your website or application, I guide you through uploading it to your hosting account from your own computer. This ensures that login details and access remain entirely in your hands.
